AutoEditz Support

Help with recording, SOP generation, purchases, publishing, and connected accounts.

System requirements

AutoEditz requires macOS 26.4 or later.

Record and create a guide

1. Open AutoEditz and choose a display, window, or custom recording region.
2. Approve Screen Recording access when macOS asks. Microphone and camera permissions are optional and requested only when enabled.
3. Stop the recording, open it in the editor, and use the Steps inspector to review detected steps.
4. Choose Generate SOP to create an editable guide, then export the format you need.

Screen recording permission

If capture is unavailable, open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording, enable AutoEditz, then relaunch the app.

Purchases and restore

Open Account to view available plans. Use Restore Purchases from the paywall after reinstalling the app or moving to another Mac. Subscriptions are billed and managed by the Apple App Store.

Publish to a connected account

Paid plans can publish a finished video to YouTube or Google Drive after you explicitly connect the relevant Google account. Open a recording, choose the overflow menu, then Publish. You can remove Google access from Account → Integrations.

Growth data

The Growth workspace remains empty until you authorize the relevant Google services and select a website property or YouTube account. Refresh or reconnect the source if previously authorized data stops loading.

Privacy and account deletion

Local recordings remain on your Mac unless you explicitly export or publish them. You can disconnect integrations or permanently delete your AutoEditz account from Account settings. Read the Privacy Policy for details.
