Screen recording
permission.

macOS asks for permission before any app can record your screen. Here is how to turn it on for AutoEditz.

Turn on access

  1. Open System Settings

    Choose Apple menu → System Settings.

  2. Go to Privacy & Security

    Select Privacy & Security, then Screen & System Audio Recording.

  3. Enable AutoEditz

    Turn on AutoEditz in the list.

  4. Relaunch AutoEditz

    Quit and reopen the app so the change takes effect.

Microphone and camera

Microphone and camera access are optional. AutoEditz requests them only when you turn them on.

Still not working?

Email help@autoeditz.com with your macOS version and the action that failed. Please don’t attach private recordings, passwords, or access tokens.

Why does AutoEditz need Screen Recording access?

macOS requires this permission before any app can capture the screen. Approve it when macOS asks.

I turned it on, but capture still fails. What now?

Quit and relaunch AutoEditz. If it still fails, email help@autoeditz.com with your macOS version and the action that failed.
